Abstract: Although Western art has routinized the narrative theme in the hope of enabling art to move to a greater degree towards the masses by employing routinization tactics so as to bring about publicness and popularization of art in order to remove the charm of the so-called noble and graceful art, yet in fact the course of routinization of contemporary Western art turns out to be, to a considerable extent, that of art en-charm(restoration to charm). The openness to the public of contemporary art becomes an idle dream.
