The year 1985 is the watershed of the new period Chinese poetry: prior to it the “obscure avant-garde poets” dominated, and then “the 3rd generation”, “the intermediate generation” and “post the year 70” poets came to the fore one after the other, who gradually took the “main character” place of the “obscure avant-garde” poets. Since 1990s the differentiation in poetic composition has become increasingly apparent. “Nomenclature” increases further. Some differently named poetic organizations bring up anthologies representing their own poetic conceptions. In pursuit of the market, the presses all published in succession selected poems with the year as the hallmark, comprising the surging “tide of publication of yearly selected works” ever since the new century. Because of following the practice of the market, avant-garde and explorative poems are weakened in the publications, for the publishers have to reach a certain compromise between art and the market. Owing to the comparatively relaned publication system, some people and organizations come to get involved into the edit and publication of the anthologies. All this defines the present situation of divergent clamour in poetic publication.

Li Bai gives poemised expression of human nature with his elegant poems. It is a manifestation of artistic sense of beauty, all-round abundant, truly natural and extremely full of ease and verve. It is this feature of poemised human nature that renders Li Bai and his poems most extensive appreciation and sympathetic response of audience from different walks in different times, regions and countries, completely satisfying them psychologically, as well as helping them to unbosom and compensate themselves in the same respect. That is the root cause for Li Bai’s poems to become newer prolongedly and full of charm immortally.

Gujin Shiren Xiuju Xu “Xiaotong, Prince Zhaoming, Liu Xiaochuo and other people compiled Wenxuan ” quoted from Preface to The Refined Sentences Of Ancient And Modern Poets and “Prince Zhaoming, He Xun and Liu Xiaochuo compiled Wenxuan together” annotated in Resurgence Bibliography are the main objective materials cited by most scholars to prove that Xiaotong, Liu Xiaochuo and other people are the compilers of Wenxuan , which, however, is not discriminatively analyzed from the aspect of the fidelity of literature. The two objective materials prove to be untenable if analyzed from the aspect of the fidelity of literature. Wenxuan is not compiled by Prince Zhaoming, Liu Xiaochuo and other people but by Prince Zhaoming alone.

Symbols include the two aspects of signifier and significativeness, and they can be distinguished into the three forms of sign, picture and symbol. More often than not, artistic symbols are pictures or what must be restored to pictures. Their signifier and significativeness relation is most complicated. So far as direct significativeness is concerned, artistic symbols generally belong to the secondary language, but they have the connotations of the language and the superlanguage simultaneously. That results in their capability of demonstrating people’s state of existence and spiritual homestead entirely.

Although Western art has routinized the narrative theme in the hope of enabling art to move to a greater degree towards the masses by employing routinization tactics so as to bring about publicness and popularization of art in order to remove the charm of the so-called noble and graceful art, yet in fact the course of routinization of contemporary Western art turns out to be, to a considerable extent, that of art en-charm(restoration to charm). The openness to the public of contemporary art becomes an idle dream.

Spinoza’s ethics is demonstrated in geometric form, yet with freedom as its ultimate aim. The conception of freedom has profound theory meaning in Spinoza’s ethics. Freedom is a kindof conatus toward “ego-keeping (keeping-being)”, which is the affirmation ofman’s inner nature and natureexistence as of reason and morality. To gain freedom is to participate in the absolute affirmation of the god. The way to achieve the inner freedom is “the rational love for the god”.
