    The investigation of the CCTV feature-programme titles shows that the commonest ones are those of the modifier modified word structure in tetrad pattern, whose basic rhythmic unit is disyllabic foot. The wording of the titles is restricted by such multiple elements as ads, vogue expressions, paper-medium language, traditional culture, the types of columns, etc.

    At present CPA(Chinese Phonetic Alphabet)abbreviations are often pronounced as English words.Obviously, this practice goes counter to the norm and is against reason. If the national nature of CPA pronunciation is to be maintained, indispensable policy intervention should be employed and necessary economic imput is needed for popularization. If such practice is taken as an accomplished fact and as an integration into international practice, then the CPA pronunciation is to be revised and it is to be submitted to the National People’s Congress for discussion. Only by doing so can the unification of the language fact, the language attitude of the Chinese community and the law and regulation of the country’s spoken and written language be achieved. What countermeasures are to be taken is yet to be decided after the cons and pros are weighed.

    Chinese film started from the creation cultural form that favoured popular culture. After going through the temporary coexistence of propagendist and commercial standards, it turned into the monistic setup of pan-politicization. It is not until the new period when the art standard has gradually been established and the commercial tradition has arduously been restored, that the creation cultural setup has really been formed, in which polyelements exist side by side and mix together. The ups and downs of Chinese film creation in different periods tell us that only by keeping abreast with the time, taking as the basis the conformity with the social, historical and cultural tendency, and establishing the correct creation cultural consciousness from the angle of the epochal character, will creation be prosperous and can both the art and the commercial harvests be available.

This trend is commonly caused by the big background of reform, openness and the market economy construction, the minor circumstance of the dispute about film nature in the field of filmology, and the causes in the theme and the art films themselves.
