Abstract: The effects of genotype-environment(G × E) interaction on the growth and development of 10 pea cultivars were observed and compared through double factor planting experiments in open fields and greenhouses. The results showed that compared with the open field cultivation, the first pod stage (first harvest stage) of pea cultivars could be advanced by 3 - 10 d and the whole growth period could be shortened by 16 - 25 d under the greenhouse cultivation. In addition, under greenhouse cultivation, the internode length of pea cultivars increased extremely significantly, the node position of the initial pod increased significantly, the plant height and leaf length increased. Variance analysis showed that pea cultivar and G × E interaction had significant effects on the increase of pod weight and pod number per plant. Therefore,to promote the early maturity and efficient cultivation of pea,in addition to the selection of superior cultivars, the G × E interaction should be paid more attention to. Through the matching of elite cultivars and excellent methods, this study concludes that WD-012,WD-008,WD-009,and WD-023 can be used as candidates for improved cultivation mode.
