Abstract: Objective The effects of different extraction methods on the extraction of chlorogenic acid from honeysuckle were studied, which provided a basis for the industrial removal of active constituents of honeysuckle. Methods We extracted chlorogenic acid from honeysuckle by water decoction method,Soxhlet extraction method, alcohol extraction method, acid alcohol extraction method and ultrasonic extraction method, and determined its content by HPLC. Results Compared with several extraction methods, the extraction rate of acid alcohol extraction method is the highest. The extraction rate of Soxhlet extraction method is slightly lower than that of acid alcohol extraction method, but the extraction of impurities is less. Considering the Soxhlet extraction method is better. Conclusion The advantages of Soxhlet extraction method are high extraction rate, fewer impurities, simple operation, low cost, and can be used for industrial production.
