Research Progress of Lithium Metal Cathode Materials for High Energy Batteries

Abstract: This paper summarized the research progresses of lithium metal cathode materials in recent years, then the writers discussed the problems regarding uncontrollable lithium dendrite growth, low coulombic efficiency, easy pulverization, electrolyte loss, etc. Based on the discussion, the modification treatment methods such as artificial SEI coating, electrolyte modification, novel cathode design were introduced respectively. The development trend of metal lithium electrode was also prospected.
