In traditional Chinese cultural values, the Taoist ecological ethics is the most outstanding.Whether Taoist value will promote the behavior of carbon emission reduction consumption in the background of developing low carbon economy is both a basic and a frontier topic of research. A value- attitude- behavior model was built based on the investigation data of 1, 579 consumers to examine the relationship, using partial least squares structural equation model by Smart PLS 2.0.,between Taoist value, attitude(guilt and pride),and carbon emission reduction consumption behavior (the promotion of low - carbon consumption and the inhibition of high-carbon consumption) . It is found that Taoist value plays a significant fundamental role in affecting people’s environment attitude and carbon reduction consumption behavior in the context of traditional Chinese culture. Specifically,Taoist value exerts an positive influence on guilt and pride;guilt can significantly promote high- carbon consumption while it has no significant impact on low- carbon consumption;pride can promote low-carbon consumption and inhibit high-carbon consumption. This study may provide theoretical reference to the policy- makers with respect to the promotion of citizens’carbon reduction consumption behavior.

After the West European and Chinese cultures met at the end of the 16th and during the two next centuries, there developed a conflict of cultures. For the first time in history, two religiously, philosophically, and linguistically very different worlds come into contact. The Chinese men of letters reached for the Bible as a source of inspiration or an object of creative and critical only in the time around the May Fourth Movement in 1919. Both Chinese writers who wrote on biblical subjects were influenced by Christianity may be divided into two groups:one is smaller group, consisting of the members which had had good experience with Christianity; and the second one where the impact of the last was chiefly negative. It is a pity that the New Testament lacks something comparable to the mythologem of Jacob’ s ladder, forming a bridge between the countries where the missionaries came from and the countries where they spread the biblical teaching. Mythological ladders were always constructed in a simple way. The“ladders”of international communication and understanding are necessarily much more complicated and should be constructed according to the different systems and structural entities coming into direct contact with each other.

The returning period of Taiwan’ s new poetry history(1972—1983)was characteristic of facing the reality, confirming clarity, caring about the mainland, and being patriotic. This is closely related to the drastic change of poetic style, the hot literary debates, the booming of poets societies and poetry periodicals, and the sudden overturn of diplomatic situation. During that period, poets were seriously considering their own identities and the past poetry abuses, decided to sublate such opinions of "cosmopolitanism","surrealism",and "purity",and chose the realistic line that emphasized "nationality","sociality" and "secularity". They practiced their ideas both in their writings and actions. The lyric poets Zhang Cuo(1943— ),Xi Murong(1943— ),Fang Ezhen (1954— ),and Wen Ruian(1954— ) were considered in a sense as "outsiders",but in literary history, they should definitely be included in "’ insiders’of Taiwan literature",constituting an extremely important link in Taiwan’ s new poetry history during the returning period. Within the literary circle, Wen was generally considered "chivalrous" whilst Fang "tender", and in literary expression,Fang was regarded as Wen’ s appendage. In fact,Fang Ezhen’ s production of poetry is no less than Wen Ruian and is better in image building ,writing skill, and rhythm control. Those prejudices were simply based on ranks and gender, intended to present males’selves and their superior position.

Since the start of the reform and open-up policy in China, the development of the urbanization of rural population has gone through four stages:strict control of population flow, control of blind flow, regulated flow, and fair flow. Liberated from traditional institutional restraint, rural citizens come to cities, changing not only their jobs but their status as well, gaining the basic right for freedom as human beings and more importantly the means to pursue their own happy lives. This paper, from the perspective of evolutionary game theory and the theoretical framework for trading the right of freedom, provides the basic logic for the study of the institutional change in China’ s rural population urbanization. The analysis shows the institutional change is actually a process of game playing between all parties in“trading their rights of freedom” . In different periods and exterior conditions, parties with different interest demands take appropriate strategies to balance the actions of game players and eventually promote the institutional change.

It has been more than forty years since China started its environmental education in 1973. During this process, its theoretical system has not yet formed, people have not had a clear understanding of its implications, and there have been no thorough studies of important issues related to environmental education. The practice effect of the education needs to be improved, public environment awareness is still rather weak, teachers lack motivation to infiltrate environmental education into their teachings, and the environmental education fall into an embarrassing situation. To further promote the development of China’ s environmental education,it is necessary to accelerate the establishment of a theoretical system, the institution and implementation of corresponding policies, and the legislative progression.

Cities are the major places where the rule of law is generated and, therefore,to sum up how the rule of law develops in cities is essential in exploring the road of the rule of law with Chinese characteristics. In the“cellular”model of relationship between the central and local governments, the initiative of local authorities is the core driver for the development of rule of law in cities. In the process, when there is no law,“experimental”work was carried out in all places, and when there is no specific law to go by, “adapted” measures are taken in local areas. Influenced by institutional factors(official document system and governance through mass movements),interest factors(local interest and the interest of local officials),and social factors(urban movement and social capital),the rule of law in cities diversify from place to place.

The reform in late Qing dynasty, which aimed at establishing a constitutional monarchy, was essentially a contest between the central and local governments and between the Qing government and the constitutionalists who represented the business circle and played an important role. Through political discourse and rational confrontation, the constitutionalists were fighting for their own rights. They clearly stated their financial, tax, and economic requests, and through the Advisory Council and the Consultative Committee vigorously participated in politics, rivaling with the Qing government for constitutional purpose. Examining, from the perspective of finance, taxation, and constitutionalism, the subtle relations between finance, economy, and the political reform of the late Qing dynasty will find that complex political games were hidden in cases represented by budget drafts. Political games around budget plans shaped modern financial reform and the failure of the Congressional petition led to the downfall of the Qing Dynasty.
