It is difficult for the new vernacular poems to rid themselves as a whole of the historical context of the dialecticization of the mother tongue. Under the influence of this fact, they are virtually confronted with the process of entanglement between dialecticization and dedialecticization in the cours of the publication and republication in different media, Example of A Collection of Endeavour, Poems by Zhimo and Selected Poems of A Decade can help in explicating the cause and different facets of the process, the istorical aspect, the mode of revision in different versions as well as the linguistic predicament in the operation.

The Ninth Widow is a new work of Yan Geling in 2006. Its main character is Wang Putao——a singular female image. Her distinctive features are doughtiness and uncoventionality, and the two contrary aspects are in mental chaos. This paper aims at exploring this phenomenon. To make the analysis easier, her doughtiness is classified into fearlessness and rudeness; her uncoventionality is classified into that of politics and that of personal interests. This essay also explains the contributing factors of the character’s mental chaos as well as its significance of the times. To some extent, this image is a bit dramatic and ideal, but there’s deep actual basis for her existence. It also reflects the author’s ponder over ideal feminity or ideal humanity.

The access of private dialogue to the public field of mass media is closely related with social changes. Firstly the change of social cultural context provides a spiritual guidance for the spread of private dialogue to modern Chinese mass media, secondly the upsurge of the consumerist trend of thought provides the material base and lastly the inrush of Western doctrine of depth psychology, postmodernism and feminist trend of thought supports it ethically.

As a grassroots medium, blog assumes a paradoxical peculiarity in its propagation form:it is a private discourse yet it spreads openly; bloggers are readers on net and web authors as well; each blog is at once an independent system and capable of conducting group interaction among systems. Though the emergence of famous bloggers in large numbers will not inevitably shake the base of common people’s grassroots medium to its foundations, yet the so-called grassroots medium with blog as its rep is qualified by a certain technical or economic level and therefore it cannot be taken as a folk discourse channel in its true sense. It calls for the common efforts of grassroots and conventional media to foster the kind of media democracy that is really widespread and that strikes roots in people’s hearts.
