Abstract: This paper gives a comprehensive and thorough study of the semantic use of the most common conjunction in English, AND, in order to eliminate the misunderstanding that many English learners enter into by simply sensing AND onlyas “和(as well as)”,“与(with)”, and help them to comprehend AND, especially its special meanings, uses and Chinese translations.
