Speech Form, Sense and Value of Chinese Polite Greetings

Abstract: Constructed with the V signal word of “good-bye” and others, the structure of the Chinese polite greetings can start a remark, be used at the end or during the course. With different collocational words, the V structure often bears appropriate semantic extension. In the focus of politeness as well as in its style of communication, the structure also has its own features.
