Abstract: Cuprous oxide mircocrystals were synthesized with a simple liquid membrane- reaction method. The effects of the reaction conditions such as reductant species, concentration of reactants across the membrane and reaction temperature on the size, morphology and crystal structure of Cu2O were explored with XRD and SEM. With reactive brilliant red X-3B(X-3B)as a model pollutant, the adsorption and visible- light photocatalytic decolorization performances of prepared Cu2O were investigated. The results showed that Cu2O mircocrystals prepared with liquid membrane- reaction method were octahedral structure with rough surface when glucose was used as a reducing agent, initial concentration ratio of copper ion and sodium hydroxide was 1∶3 and the reduction temperature was 50 ℃ ,meanwhile they had good adsorption and visible- light photocatalytic properties, and the photocatalytic decolorization rate of X-3B was up to 70%.
