Abstract: According to the structure characteristics of the electronic cooling fan for passenger cars,a simplified structure model of the electronic cooling fan was proposed. Based on the simplified model, a parametric model was built, and the process of automatically generating physical fans from input parameters was realized through programming. Furthermore,the original fan and its simplified model fan were simulated and analyzed under the same operation conditions with the fluid dynamic analysis method,and the five index errors of the quadrupole noise,dipole noise,flow rate,power,and static pressure efficiency were all within 4%, thus proving the usability of the constructed parametric model. It provides a basis for further design optimization with iterative simulation model generation automatically.
