Abstract: The purpose of the study is to reform the traditional teaching model. The author constructed the fitness course of Jianghan University based on SPOC mixed teaching model. The effects of the two teaching models were compared and analyzed. Therefore, the author explored the way of reform suitable for the development of fitness courses in colleges and universities. The research methods included literature study, experimental teaching and mathematical statistics. The study concluded 1)The experimental group was more comprehensive in content, more active in learning style, more suitable for individualized learning, and its study was not restricted by time and space. 2)From the statistical results of the subject scores of the experimental group and the traditional group, the mean value of the total score of the final examination in the experimental group was significantly higher than that in the traditional group. 3)Judging from the results of the technical and theoretical examinations, the experimental group was superior to the traditional group in the high score section of the technical examination;both the experimental group and the traditional group had the phenomenon of fail in the theoretical test, and the traditional group was especially serious, from which we can see that the students pay more attention to technology than to the theory in the course of study.
