Abstract: Eutrophication is becoming a serious problem in most of the mariculture areas in China. It can induce the red tide and animal disease, and results in heavy losses of aquaculture industry. In this study,Ulva pertusa was applied for bioremediation of aquaculture wastewater and its nutrient(TP,TN,and NH4-N)removal capacity was analyzed. The experimental results showed that the removal rates of total nitrogen, ammonia nitrogen and total phosphorus were 80%,81. 6% and 79%,respectively,under the conditions of the TN,NH4-N and TP initial concentrations of 14、3. 8、1. 9 μmol/L,the planting density of Ulva pertusa of 2. 5 g/L and experimental time of 10 d. Therefore,it has advantage of high efficiency to treat aquaculture wastewater with Ulva pertusa. Ulva pertusa can be a candidate for treating eutrophic water or aquaculture wastewater.
