Abstract: Objective To investigate the therapeutic effect of proximal femoral nail anti-rotation(PFNA)、dynamic hip screw(DHS)and locking compression plate(LCP)for treatment of intertrochanteric fracture in the elderly patients. Methods 122 patients included in the study with intertrochanteric fracture were treated with fracture fixation operation,43 cases with PFNA fixation ,32 cases with DHS fixation and 47 cases with LCP fixation. The operation time, intraoperative bleeding and postoperative complications, postoperative hip joint function were recorded through follow-up and clinical records statistics. Results PFNA group had less operative time and intraoperative blood loss compared with the other two groups (DHS、LCP),There were no significant differences on the healing time and hip function score in those groups. There were no complications in all the 122 patients. Conclusion PFNA has the characteristics of reasonable design and reliable fixation strength. It is the appropriate method of the treatment for femoral of intertrochanteric fracture, especially to those elderly with unstable osteoporosis intertrochanteric fractures for its advantages of less bleeding and minimally invasiveness.
