Abstract: The investigation and analysis have been conducted on current status，plant species，quantity，distribution and arrangement of campus plants in Jianghan University. The results show that there are 205 greening species，which belongs to 72 families and 146 generas. The native species are the main species in campus greening，of which the adaptive ability are strong and the greening effect are abvious. Woody plants are mainly used，herbs and liane are used less，the greening structure is simple. In the investigation，it discovers that the outstanding problems in campus greening in Jianghan University are less plant species and application form，blind introduction，unreasonable design，puts forward the suggestions and countermeasures to impel the campus greeningdevelopment.
