Abstract: To understand the wintering situation of black storks(Ciconia nigra)in Tianxing Village,Hongshan District,Wuhan City,Wuhan Bird Watching Association monitored the wintering habits of black storks along the fixed line of the layout during 2018 to 2019. The direct counting method was used to record the number, distribution area, behavioral characteristics, and threatened state of black storks. The monitoring results showed that Tianxing Village was a stable habitat for the wintering black storks, and the maximum individual count was 21. The main activity area of black storks was the outflow sandbar at the western end of Tianxingzhou(Zhoutou). Tourism and illegal fishing activities on the Yangtze River brought varying degrees of interference to black storks behavioral ecology. According to current study, further recommendations including strengthening the publicity of wildlife protection, setting up protected areas, and cracking down illegal fishing are suggested.
