Abstract: Glutathione is an active tripeptide condensed by glutamic acid，cysteine and glycine. Fermentation using modified yeast cells is the best way for industrial production of glutathione. In animal healthcare field，GSH，as a novel feed supplement，which is highly efficient and safe，has the function of immunity enhancement，feed saving，growth promotion and meat quality improvement. And the food safety of animal resource can be guaranteed to decrease antibiotic usage.
