Research and Application of Temperature Control System for Hot Blast Stove Based on DMC-PID Cascade Control

Abstract: The hot blast stove is an important heat exchange equipment in blast furnace ironmaking. Its temperature control system has the characteristics of non- linearity,large time lag,etc. It is difficult for the current manual stove to meet the requirements of energy saving and combustion optimization. In this paper,the opening of the gas flow control valve was used as the auxiliary manipulated variable,and the dome temperature was used as the main controlled variable. The DMCPID cascade control system was designed to control the dome temperature of the hot blast stove. The simulation results showed that the design scheme had strong ability to suppress interference,and the system's rapidity and stability were further improved. The application results showed that the DMCPID cascade control system could achieve a reasonable ratio of gas flow and air flow in the combustion process of the hot blast stove,so as to achieve the purpose of optimizing combustion and saving energy.
