Abstract: Cu/OMS-2 catalysts were prepared with different methods, and their catalytic performance was investigated for the oxidation of toluene. The catalytic activity was revealed as sequence below: OMS-2 > Cu/OMS-2(ion exchange method)> Cu/OMS-2(pretreatment method). It was found that OMS-2 had best catalytic performance;it achieved 90% toluene conversion at 225 ℃ due to the better reducibility. The material characterization results showed the addition of Cu reduced the Mn3+/Mn4+ electron pairs on the surface of OMS-2 catalyst,it reduced the reducibility and oxygen mobility on the surface of OMS-2 catalyst, which led to the decrease of catalytic performance of Cu/OMS-2 compared with OMS-2.
