Finite Element Analysis on Mechanical Property of Axial-Column of Concrete-Filled Stainless Steel Tube Subjected to Long-Term Sustained Loading

Abstract: A nonlinear finite element analysis(FEA)was developed to simulate the axial-column of concrete-filled stainless steel tube(CFST)subjected to long-term sustained loading;the established FEA was verified by experiment in this paper. With FEA,the influence of long-term loading on the mechanical behavior of the CFST axial-column was researched in terms of the relationship between load and deformation,and the interaction of specimen materials was studied,the behavior of the CFST axial-column with long-term loading was compared with that of the CFST axial-column without longterm loading. The results showed that the long-term sustained loading increased the bearing capacity of CFST axial- column and increased corresponding axial deformation,and delayed the occurrence of interaction between stainless steel tube and core concrete.
