Abstract: Objective To observe the effects of Sanyinjiao acupoint massage and hot compress therapy with TCM packet on treating primary dysmenorrheal. Methods 60 patients of primary dysmenorrheal were randomly divided into the control group and the treatment group with 30 cases in each. Taking acupuncture-moxibustion therapy on the control group（once daily），Sanyinjiao acupoint massage（four times a day, 15 min each time）and hot compress therapy with TCM packet（once daily, 30 min each time）on the treatment group. Visual analogue scales（VAS）was used to assess the pain degree. Results VAS in the treatment group was significantly less than VAS in the control group after treating（P < 0. 05）. Conclusion The Sanyinjiao acupoint massage and hot compress therapy with TCM packet are effective in the treatment of primary dysmenorrheal.
