Simulation Strategies of Methylbenzene Disproportionation and Transalkylation Based on PRO/II

Abstract: Disproportionation and transalkylation is an important part of the aromatics unit. Process simulation software PRO/II was used to simulate the process，which provided the basis for the optimization design of the whole process. In this paper，a typical domestic disproportionation and transalkylation unit was modeled with PRO/II and the collected data were checked. The simulation results showed that the data collected in the factory were consistent with the simulation results，which indicated that the strategies of process simulation was reasonable.
