Language social situation can be defined in a broad or a narrow sense and categorized as positive or negative situations，differing in intralingual and extralingual situations. In the broad sense，language social situation is similar to language situation；in the narrow sense，language social situation refers to those aspects related to the environmental security of linguistic ecology，concerning national politics，law，and ideology；it covers aspects beneficial to language security，cultural security，and social stability，as well as aspects that may lead to the outbreak of language conflict or jeopardize national security. Language social situation in the narrow sense reflects language user’s language emotion，cultural inclination，language awareness，linguistic interest and demand，and indications of language harmony and contention. Language social situation arises from different linguistic views and linguistic ideologies. It is elusive，long-lasting，and persistent. Prior to the outbreak of language conflicts，there often exist certain language social situations fermenting. There is a close causality between language social situation and the outbreak of language conflict. Different from language situation，language social situation is an important aspect of it. The study of language social situation can done from a variety of dimensions including language contact，code selection，use of language，internal change of language，language learning motivation，and family language policy. Linguistic social situation is a new problem and field in sociolinguistics.

The Report to the 19th National Congress of the Communist Party of China clearly put forward the plan for universal participation in social insurance. It means both those low-income people who cannot afford or are reluctant to pay social insurance premiums and the vulnerable groups covered by social assistance will be included in the social insurance system. This inevitably leads to the expansion of social insurance function and its integration with social assistance. However，as important parts of the social security system，social insurance and social assistance differ fundamentally in their functions and this difference is currently not well understood in China. In the full implementation of the plan，it is necessary to handle the relevance and interaction of the functions of social insurance and social assistance. In the process，it is necessary to compare the advantage and disadvantage of the functions of social insurance and social assistance；based on it，the functions of social insurance and social assistance can be integrated，with the functional expansion of social insurance from mutual benefit to demand as the entry point and the functional promotion of social assistance from demand to mutual benefit as the acting point. This is conducive to the systematic optimization and overall stability of China’s universal social insurance

Satisfaction with Government Work and the Old-age Support Ideas of Quasi-elderly in the Rural Area：An Empirical Study Based on CGSS Data

In promoting the construction of a service-oriented government，an important issue of future rural old-age service is how to tackle with the aging of population. Based on the 2015 CGSS data，the impact of satisfaction with government work on the old-age support ideas of quasi-elderly as well as the action mechanism are explored by utilizing the Principal Component Analysis，the logit model，and the IVProbit. It is discovered that in the rural region，the quasi-elderly has a stronger preference for family care than the contemporary aged people，while the aged has a stronger preference for social service than the contemporary quasi-elderly；in terms of compound provision for the aged，there is no obvious difference between the two groups. The regression results show that the family care idea of the quasi-elderly displays a weakening effect in relation to satisfaction with government public service；when political intervene attitude is taken as an instrumental variable to deal with endogeneity，it is found that the weakening effect of satisfaction with public service on the idea of family care is underestimated；the degrees of satisfaction with government administrative capacity and the satisfaction with public security have no eminent influence on the old-age support ideas of the quasi-elderly. The results of mediating effect test show that the sense of happiness in life has an eminent partial mediating effect on the weakening effect of satisfaction with government public service on the family care idea of the quasi-elderly.
