    “Western Learning” in Contemporary Context

    By analyzing the history of western learning, examining present state of our country in accepting western civilization, especially by the reflection data concerning the learning and acceptance of western civilization in a condition that science and technology dominate, it will be very hard for us to say that we have actually contacted the essence of the western science, even for the fields of science and technology we share the same opinion. In some sense, our learning is still in technology itself. We still could not know what can promote the appearance and development of science. Besides, by the analysis of the contemporary western philosophy, we have found out that the contemporary western civilization is still in its turning point, full of deconstruction and dilemma. Under such circumstance, it will be a problem for us to consider how to learn from western countries, and what our civilizing unique destiny and mission are.
