Home quarantine and telecommuting have become a popular social phenomenon during the COVID-19 pandemic. How telecommuting affects people’s family life, specially, how the youth group adjust the relationship between work and family, has become a social focus. The research shows the timespace boundary between work and family life has been changed when young employees work from home, and the time-space boundary can be vague, distinct,or overlapping. As an active subject, young
employees can take advantage of such boundary variation. Some center one their family and enhance family ties;some strive for a balance between work and family;and others trigger family problems when they focus on work, resulting in clashes by mishandling. On the one hand, family,as a basic social unit, displays social tenacity;on the other hand,it provides insights for constructing harmonious families and coping with social risks as well.
