Abstract: The “zhi” “zhuang ” “zhang” of the middle ancient times were combined into two different “Initial Consonants” in Chengyang Dialect. The category of the 3“Initial Consonants” in Zhongyuan Phonology is consistent with that in Chengyang Dialect. It shows that the phonetic value of “zhi” “zhuang ” “zhang” were practically combined into two.
