Abstract: To obtain modified regenerated cellulose membranes and understand its properties, the modification experiments were carried out with polyvinyl alcohol(PVA)1750±50,1799 and multiwalled carbon nanotubes(MWCNT)as materials, respectively. The features of the modified membranes were characterized by differential scanning calorimetry(DSC)and tensile strength tests. The results showed that PVA1750 ± 50, PVA1799, MWCNT had excellent compatibility with regenerated cellulose;both PVA1750 ± 50 and PVA1799 could improve the tensile strength of the modified membranes. When the content of PVA1750±50 was 1%,the thermal decomposition temperature and thermal stability of the modified membranes increased. The swelling capacity of the modified membranes was improved compared with that of pure RC membranes, and the water absorption performance was enhanced.
