Abstract: Objective To investigate the current situation of nurses′ knowledge on central venous catheters （CVC） maintenance in a heart hospital and probe into its related influencing factors. Methods Convenience sampling was used to recruit 209 nurses，and a questionnaire was carried out from January to February 2016. Results 1）The total score of nurses′ knowledge on CVC maintenance was（71. 69 ±10. 11）. 2）Scores of nurse with different department，ages，nursing years，nurse level，participating the knowledge training of CVC maintenance or not were analyzed respectively. The difference was statistically significant. Conclusion The nurses can master the basic knowledge on CVC maintenance，record the catheter maintenance information well and do good job on the early recognition of complications. It is necessary to strengthen comprehensive，in-depth，continuous training on CVC knowledge in nurses′ standardized training.
