Abstract: Based on the opening situation of WeChat public accounts of natural science journals of universities in Hubei，the basic information，menu setting，content publishing，editing and typesetting of these WeChat public accounts were collected and compared. Furthermore，the effect of operating was estimated by monthly reading quantity. According to the investigation results，some suggestions were provided，which may be helpful for the development of WeChat public accounts of natural science journals of universities in Hubei province.
