Abstract: A Dream of Red Chambers establishes its ontology of “Qing”on the term of “Dharmadhãtu” which interweaves spirituality with the practice of “qing”. A Dream of Red Chambers makes it possible to integrate “qing” with “kong(sūnya)” in an ambiguous way, and it also highlights the purpose of vilifying the society and times; With the spread and development of “qing”, the “Dharmadhãtu” wisdom is embodied everywhere. Based on “Dharmadhãtu”, “qing” inevitably finds itself in distressing circumstances. At last, the purpose of A Dream of Red Chambers has been achieved on the horizon of desolation.
