On the Word “Jiong”

Abstract: From ancient times till now, Chinese characters have experienced long-time changes and development from inscriptions on bones or tortoise shells to contemporary standard words. Now with the prosperity of network language and words, Chinese words have entered a new development period. More and more words in the network language are borrowed from the ancient Chinese. “Joing”, one of the examples from archaist words, develops its own connotation and application, is used beyond network and enters realistic language life, the spreading tendency of which waits for the selection of history and language itself.
