Lu Zuqian’s Discrimination of King and Despot in His Study of ZuoZhuan

Abstract: In his succession to Mencius,Wang Anshi was the first to start dealing with king and despot through “disposition”,which led the annotation in the Song Dynasty study of The Annals,and on the basis of which Lu’s discrimination of righteousness,benefit and fame,position was further developed in consideration for the then situation and expectancy after the south transition of the Song royal household.It can be seen that Lu gave first priority to theory in his choice of king and despot,such was originafed from Mencius.Therefore,to Lu dealing with the kingly rule by virtue was exactly a “realm”.
