Abstract: The present important contents of ideological political work in universities are taking the education of ideal and belief as the core and establishing correct outlook of the world, the life and the value, taking the social practice as a centre and paying attention to the effectiveness of ideological political education. Paying special attention to the construction of the ideological political workers, refining contents of the ideological political work, stimulating energy of the Party organizations, trade unions and the League Committees of various levels and innovating the methods and forms of ideological political educational work are the measures and methods in improving ideological political work in universities.
