Abstract: With the development of world’s tourism, the geological parks, taking protection of geological relics as subject, have developed rapidly in the world scope, and our country has also started constructing the parks. Hubei is full of rich geological tourist resources. Its development is in the initial stage with present disadvantage in resources development imbalance, and poor effective management. Hubei now is facing the chance of increasing demand for the parks and active support from provincial government. The threats of development are poor propaganda and promotion together with the shortage of the brand advantage. The government should gradually promote constructing geological parks by exploring resource and planning overall, training the employees and being strict with management the parks, strengthening propaganda and promotion and creating excellent brand, making scientific research and popularizing geological knowledge, etc.
