Abstract: Taichang, as an official in charge of ceremony, culture and education affairs, was of great importance in the official system in two Han dynasties. Nomination and position of taichang changed with the development of ceremony establishment in the different stages of the two dynasties. And the post change of taichang had great influence on ceremony establishment of the state. Research of nomination of taichang and its post change are the key to knowing ceremony system of the two dynasties and even culture history of Han Dynasty.
