Abstract: The discussion of film narrations itself is a problem domain that floats with contexts and levels.Chinese films’narrations and poetics can be discussed and analyzed separately from their commercial and artistic perspectives. These two problems have two different directions and solutions and each has its own levels. On the commercial level，films must solve the problem of cultural acceptance and properly deal with the relationships between national and global cultures and between the mainstream cultures and the subcultures；they must consider how to raise their consciousness of accepting esthetics；they must also meticulously advance narrative skills and strategies. On the artistic level，filmmakers must establish the film poetics，form a Chinese mode of code for film plots，and stick to the ethical baseline. A network built up in this way for people to explore the problem domain and solutions is meant to clarify the discourse relations for the question of“on which level is the discussion of Chinese films’narrations legitimate？”and to ensure that the discussion is objective.
