Synthesis of Novel Alkyl Phosphinate Double Salt and Its Application in Epoxy Resin

摘要: 以甲基环己基次膦酸 (MHP) 和NaOH反应, 然后与金属化合物成盐得到甲基环己基次膦酸铝/铁复盐 (AlFe (MHP) ) 。采用 FTIR、XRF及 XRD等技术表征其结构。作为阻燃剂应用于环氧树脂 (EP) 后, 对复合材料的燃烧性能及热稳定性进行初步探讨。结果表明, 当阻燃剂添加量 (质量分数) 为10%时, EP的极限氧指数 (LOI) 从19. 8%提高到28. 4%, 垂直燃烧测试达到UL94 V-0级别。热重分析显示AlFe (MHP) 的热稳定性良好, 燃烧性能测试证实AlFe (MHP) 对复合材料的热释放速率 (HRR) 抑制作用明显。

Abstract: Aluminum Iron methyl cyclohexylphosphinate double salt(AlFe(MHP) )was synthesized initially by neutralization reaction of methylcyclohexylphosphinate acid with NaOH,followed by reacting with metal compounds. The product was characterized by FTIR,XRF and XRD to analyse its structure. When AlFe (MHP)was used as flame retardant in epoxy resin (EP) , the flammability and thermal stability of the composite were discussed preliminarily. The results presented that the Limit Oxygen Index (LOI)of EP with 10 wt% filler loading improved from 19. 8% to 28. 4%,and the vertical burning test achieved at UL94 V-0 rating. TG analyses showed that AlFe (MHP)had excellent thermal stability. The tests of flammability revealed that AlFe (MHP)had a strong inhibition effect on Heat Release Rate (HRR)of the composites.
