Abstract: Based on the library information，this paper introduced the declared quantity and growth rate of patent documents on electronic vehicles in the past 30 years，it was found that the new industrialization countries showed high quantity and quick growth rate in the patents declaration；the declaration applicants in Germany，South Korea and Japan accounted for most of the patents；the enterprises accounted for the majority of the patent declaration in Japan while the research institutes and enterprises have high rate in China. The current trend of patent declaration on electronic vehicles technology was illustrated，based on the patents information，this paper prospected the technology and market of eletronic vehicles in main countries.
