Abstract: Since the reform and opening up, the leader collective of our Party has actively explored in constructing a study-type Party. The leader collective of the second generation led by Deng Xiaoping emphasized the importance of practice in the construction by insisting on ideological line of emancipating mind, and seeking truth from facts, constructing a well-off society and making persistent efforts to realize the socialist modernism with Chinese characteristics. The leader collective led by Jiang Zemin emphasized development by making great efforts to construct a study-type society by the building of Party’s advancement. And the leader collective led by Hu Jintao emphasizes scientific development by building socialist harmonious society though strengthening the Party’s governing ability. The construction of the study-type Party in the new period should be based on the construction of the excellent style of study, on the four basic requirements, on the construction of the study-type Party organization, and on the skillful master of the scientific laws to realize lawfulness and scientificness of the Party’s construction.
