Abstract: The damage of pelletizer cutter not only impacts the smooth operation of pelletizer system，but also results in some major accidents such as ″cutter winding″，″clyster″ and so on. This article ana? lyzed the material of cutter, air pressure, perpendicularity between die plate and cutter shaft, flatness of cutter and flatness of cutter rest. The conclusion was that the cause of the cutter damage was bad precision of flatness of cutter rest. The problem of frequent damages of cutter was solved by controlling the flatness of cutter rest，which ensured the pelletizer system running smoothly，efficiently and continuously.
