A Probe into the Social Stability in the Progress of Modernization

Abstract: Social stability is a basic precondition in smoothly promoting the construction of the modernization for any country, but for many countries, in the progress of modernization, social unrest appears easily, the causes of which are complicated, as excessive high expectation from the people, the impeded access to political participation, etc. including other historical and international ones. The approach to obtaining and maintaining social stability for these countries are mainly as follows: to elevate the hierarchy of the institutionalization of politics, to establish right and strenuous party system, to promote unalterably reform policy all-around, to reinforce government ability and consolidate political authority, forcefully guarantee and improve democracy. China is one of the countries in the progress of modernization. Our Party and government should take effective measures to strengthen social management according to our country's condition, establish and perfect a set of mechanisms of social stability as counseling mechanism, regulating mechanism, buffer mechanism, etc. with Chinese characteristics.
