Revelation of Socrates’ “Know Yourself” to Job-selecting Outlook of Contemporary University Students

Abstract: Socrates took “know yourself” as one part of contents of his ideology, demanding himself and his students to cultivate rational thinking, to analyze themselves regularly, and to evaluate themselves justly. The sayings of epistemology and methodology are of great revelation to the contemporary university students’ problems, as bias, aimlessness and impractical expectation in job-selecting. In facing job-selecting, the students should, first of all, be with self-control and ration, and overcome bias and excessive demands. They should also be with correct aim and reasonable decision, and avoid arrogance, and belittling themselves as well.
