Abstract: The raising and the practicing of theory about socialism with Chinese characteristics makes the socialism of our country not restrict to classic socialist category, but one with its own “characteristics”, which is more in line with Chinese reality. Thus, in order to be stick to the socialism with Chinese characteristics and to make China develop to a higher level, the theory should be clarified: the connotation of the “characteristics” about, the theoretic basis for and practical problems of socialism with Chinese characteristics.
