Abstract: As a newly-emerging network media, microblog is especially welcomed by university students with its powerful functions, which is profoundly influential on the students and at the same time, challengeable to the ideological and political education of the university students. The ideological and political educators in the universities should positively face the challenge, make full use of microblog in improving timeliness of the ideological and political education and develop new area for the ideological and political education.
