Abstract: The Border Town has six major editions(texts):the early edition,the first edition,the revised edition,the corrected edition,the re-proofing edition and the complete works edition.From the first edition to the revised one,the Border Town reflects the art modifications and the obviousness of the author’ screative ideas;from the revised edition to the corrected one,the book deals with the adjustmen the author makes to adapt to the new code of the language and ethics and his insistence on the concept of literature as well as makes some art amendments. In fact, only two pionts take place in the whole course of the change of editions“text test”and the other is the author’s adherence to the literature concept with “life” as the core.Comprehensively speaking, the complete worksedition can be called as a “good edition”.
