Abstract: For years, Wang zhimin has been cultivating in the field of national vocalist creation. Extensively highlighted in modern vocalist circles are the medium-sized vocalist compositions by Wang after the source material of some primordial folk songs. Besides being taken as constant items in concerts and large vocalist competitions, his works are also adopted by the teaching materials of higher at schools, and are loved and favoured by many people. The preservation and development of primordial folk songs is a hot topic of conversation in modern musical circles. In a certain sense, Wang’s compositions of national vocal music are a preservation and development of the Chinese primordial folk songs and folk music.
