Abstract: The year 1985 is the watershed of the new period Chinese poetry: prior to it the “obscure avant-garde poets” dominated, and then “the 3rd generation”, “the intermediate generation” and “post the year 70” poets came to the fore one after the other, who gradually took the “main character” place of the “obscure avant-garde” poets. Since 1990s the differentiation in poetic composition has become increasingly apparent. “Nomenclature” increases further. Some differently named poetic organizations bring up anthologies representing their own poetic conceptions. In pursuit of the market, the presses all published in succession selected poems with the year as the hallmark,comprising the surging “tide of publication of yearly selected works” ever since the new century. Because of following the practice of the market, avant-garde and explorative poems are weakened in the publications, for the publishers have to reach a certain compromise between art and the market. Owing to the comparatively relaned publication system, some people and organizations come to get involved into the edit and publication of the anthologies. All this defines the present situation of divergent clamour in poetic publication.
