Abstract: Emotion remains to be an important part of Ge Mai’s poetry. Meanwhile，his acuity enables him to transcend the essence of emotion and view the human spiritual space with a genius perspective. Thus，he increasingly feels the limitations and sorrows of human spirit. However，he becomes a vassal of emotion in constant despair and anxiety because he is unable to settle down his emotions. The erosion of the secular space makes him constantly make reasonable appeals through poetry. Therefore，poetic allegories or a mythical existence in his poetry permeate his imagination of a public space and his discourse construction of it，which is a constant individual resistance. In precisely such circumstances，the poet，undaunted by the shadow of death，resolutely withstands the world’s curses with a Promethean resistance，and ultimately，in a space full of emotions，reconstructs a free imaginative world with a melancholy posture.
